The 2018 Croner Software Games Survey shows that U.S. software gaming companies experienced material compensation growth at all organization levels, driven primarily by increases in annual incentives. 

Croner’s leading-edge annual report provides data about compensation programs and practices for jobs in all gaming platforms including mobile, PC, console, MMOG, social, handheld and casino games. 

Jobs in the Technology Support category had the greatest growth in base salary and in actual total cash compensation – these include positions in engineering job families such as Platform, Database, Security, Release and Quality Assurance.  Most Quality Assurance positions had significant base salary growth, with 10 to 12% increases over 2017 for selected organization levels.

The Croner Software Games Survey, now in its 28th year, is the benchmark compensation resource serving the entertainment software industry in the U.S. and Canada.  The just published 2018 report summarizes the compensation programs and practices of 47 participants and 363 positions in the U.S. and 14 participants and 15 positions in Canada.

The Croner Software Games Survey–International serves entertainment software companies with offices in Europe and Asia.  The 2018 report summarizes the compensation programs and practices of 20 participants and 94 positions in the U.K., China, France, Germany and Spain.
