The annual conference furthers the FAOG mission to provide professional enhancements for the financial and administrative staff of community foundations and to take a leadership position in establishing and communicating standards for the financial and administrative functions of community foundations.

In 2015, in affiliation with Elaine Lasnik-Broida, The Croner Company acquired the Total Compensation Survey of Foundations and now annually produces the Croner Compensation Survey of Foundations, one of the largest and most comprehensive foundation compensation surveys in the country.
