The CTHRA Cable Programmers / Broadcast Networks Survey is an industry specific compensation survey conducted annually to provide competitive compensation information to cable programmers, television and satellite radio broadcasters and any entity that provides and/or produces content such as with mobile, internet, film, commercial and related entities.  The Survey invites participation from cable programmers, broadcast networks, digital media and technology companies, on demand and internet streaming content providers or other content companies with related programming positions.

Forty-six companies — representing 130 networks and 24,000 employees — are using the 2016 Croner CTHRA Survey data to understand current market trends and to establish rational market compensation levels in their organizations. Participant companies include all five national broadcast networks and all 25 of the top national cable networks, as well as companies who create content for internet channels.

Positions at all levels are reported, in functions such as general management, programming, creative production, technical production, post production, remote operations, library, affiliate and media relations, community affairs, market research, digital distribution, advertising sales, affiliate advertising sales, advertising sales operations, legal and business affairs and G&A.
