HaliCroner-cropped#4 9-17-13 Hali Croner, President and Chief Executive Officer, has over 25 years of consulting and research experience in the fields of compensation design and implementation.  Hali works extensively with senior management and Boards of Directors of media, digital, entertainment, software games and casino games organizations to help them create and keep current their compensation programs.  She started her career as a Research Analyst with SRI International, an international think tank, and was a Staff Consultant at Sibson & Company, a compensation consulting firm, before joining The Croner Company in 1989.  Hali is a graduate of Dartmouth College where she earned membership into Phi Beta Kappa.
Mel Croner-2 Cropped-4 Mel Croner, Chairman and Founder, founded The Croner Company in 1978.  Mel is well known both nationally and internationally as a strategic and organization resource to numerous domestic and international companies.  He started his career at The RAND Corporation, then spent eight years as a Senior Partner at Arthur Young before founding The Croner Company.  Mel is an honors graduate of Dartmouth College and has an MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University.
Pete Culver J. P. “Pete” Culver, Chief Financial Officer, is the third principal at The Croner Company.  Pete is one of the nation’s experts in the field of physician and hospital compensation programs.  He spent six years at Arthur Young before joining The Croner Company in 1979.  Pete is a graduate of Duke University and holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Elaine Broida-website Elaine Lasnik-Broida, President, Lasnik-Broida Consultants, Inc., an Affiliate of The Croner Company, brings over 30 years of compensation consulting experience to serve client needs.  In 1998, Elaine created the Total Compensation Survey of Foundations which has grown to be one of the most respected data sources for compensation, benefits and related information for private and independent foundations in the country.  She conducts seminars, workshops and networking meetings on total compensation strategy development, hot topics and key trends in the sector.  Elaine holds an MBA degree in Management from the University of Southern California and a Professional Designation in Personnel Management from the University of California, Los Angeles.
P. Garth Gartrell, Senior Consultant, has been an executive compensation consultant, attorney and CPA for over 30 years. He has worked closely with leading technology companies, venture and private equity firms, and financial institutions on all facets of executive compensation. He has represented the board of directors and management of early-stage venture backed companies, IPOs, large public and private companies, and companies involved in mergers and acquisitions. He has written several of the most widely read and respected books on executive compensation including the 3rd Edition of “Executive Compensation for Emerging Growth Companies” and “409A Administration Handbook,” all published by Thomson Reuters. Mr. Gartrell has served as expert witness in numerous high profile and high value litigation matters.  Mr. Gartrell has degrees from The Ohio State University (magna cum laude) and Harvard Law School (cum laude).
Ed Sileo, Vice President, Surveys, joined The Croner Company in 2008.  Ed leads The Croner Company’s annual compensation Surveys and the firm’s long-term initiative to maximize efficiencies and use of automation.  He plays a key role in service to the Survey participants through regular and special compensation Surveys, as well as leading the special analyses conducted for Survey participants. He has over 15 years of compensation administration experience in the healthcare industry.  Ed graduated from Syracuse University with a dual degree: B.S. in Communications and B.A. in Psychology.
1A - Lisa Dyakovski- 8-2016 Cropped WEB Res 85 x 100 Lisa Dyakovski, Director, Consulting, joined The Croner Company in 2010.  Lisa manages consulting projects and directs the development of findings and compensation plan recommendations for clients.  She has deep industry knowledge in Croner’s industries of expertise and provides thoughtful consulting in all areas of compensation for both business leaders and Compensation Committees.  Prior to joining The Croner Company, she provided consulting services for an economic consulting firm specializing in high-stakes litigation.  Lisa is a graduate of the University of Washington, where she earned a B.S. in Economics with Honors and a minor in Human Rights.
  Gabriel Barkin, Director, Operations, joined The Croner Company in 2017.  Gabriel is responsible for the operational functions of the company, in the areas of Finance, Administration, Information Technology & Communications and Human Resources.  As a member and secretary of the company’s leadership team, Gabriel coordinates the implementation of long-term strategic plans and participates in development and operational support of the firm’s marketing, sales, survey and consulting activities. For over twenty years prior to joining The Croner Company, Gabriel held key operational leadership roles in consulting firms that focused on employee development, benefits and compensation.  He holds an MBA from Golden Gate University (summa cum laude) and a B.A. in Business Administration from Dominican University (summa cum laude).   
  Divya Rane, Consultant, joined The Croner Company in 2017.  She manages consulting projects in the areas of job architecture design, base pay programs, short- and long- term incentive plans, sales and executive compensation.  As Consultant, she leads analyses and develops findings and recommendations for client projects.  Divya brings nine years of experience in designing and implementing global compensation programs for IT and Ad Tech industries.  Divya earned a Bachelor of Management Studies from Mumbai University.
 ClarissaHwangCrop Clarissa Hwang, Consulting Analyst, joined The Croner Company in 2014. She provides analytical support to consulting projects in the areas of sales compensation, executive compensation, base pay programs and short- and long- term incentive plans and equity compensation. Prior to joining The Croner Company, Clarissa worked as an Associate at an economic consulting firm. Clarissa graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in Economics.

He supports our consulting engagements with research and analytical support.  He brings prior experience in survey research and political analysis to the role.  Sam graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a B.A. in Political Science and a B.S. in Environmental Science, Policy and Management.
Robyn Berry Robyn Berry, Lead Analyst / Recruiting Manager, initially joined The Croner Company in 1997, and then rejoined the company in 2009.  Robyn participates in design, analysis and report writing for Survey projects.  She has over 15 years of human resources management for software and nonprofit organizations, compensation consulting and recruiting.  Robyn graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a BS with Departmental Honors in Social Sciences with a minor in Russian Language.
Susan Cronk Susan Cronk, Lead Analyst / Marketing Manager, joined The Croner Company in 2010.  Susan leads company marketing efforts and participates in design, analysis and report writing for Survey projects.  She has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate management and development.  Susan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Rhetoric and Communications Studies and a minor in Art History.
Brian Barstow Brian Barstow, Senior Analyst, joined The Croner Company in 2010.  Brian prepares, edits and analyzes data for annual compensation Surveys, reports and presentations.  He brings a background is in forensic consulting and data analysis.  Brian graduated cum laude from Northeastern University with a B.S. in dual concentrations in Accounting and Finance.

Prior to joining The Croner Company, he performed research and analysis on client projects at a strategy consulting firm.  Mario graduated from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Business Administration and earned a dual MBA and Masters of International Business through an international program offered by San Francisco State University and the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis.
 Chesli JonesCrop Chesli Jones, Database Administrator, joined The Croner Company in 2015.  He administers the company’s PostgreSQL and MySQL databases, maintains the existing PHP and Pylons web applications, and is developing the company’s new client and administrative Django web applications.  In his prior role as Survey Analyst, he prepared, edited and analyzed data for annual compensation Surveys, reports and presentations. His previous professional experience includes automating processes for efficiency and accuracy, developing custom reports for an IBM iSeries / DB2 system using VBA, SQL, Excel and Microsoft Access, developing a Microsoft Access business solution and Laravel web application development.  Chesli transferred to the University of California, Berkeley with Phi Theta Kappa honors and graduated with a B.A. in Philosophy focusing on epistemology.
 LaurieKrashanoff-cropped 9-17-13 Laurie Krashanoff, Account Relations Manager, joined The Croner Company in 2012.  Laurie is responsible for the development and management of relationships with all Croner Survey clients.  Throughout her 20 years in the software and high technology fields, a large portion of Laurie’s career was dedicated to creating customer and partner programs.  Laurie graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University with a B.S in Marketing and concentration in Psychology and also attended the International Studies program at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England.
Lisa Cook-website Lisa Allen Cook, Analyst, joined The Croner Company in 2015.  Lisa worked for nine years as an Equity Research Analyst / Editor at an investment bank, followed by three years as Chief Financial Officer for a boutique corporate investigations firm. Lisa graduated from Stanford University with a B.A. in Human Biology and attended the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
  Dalit Muzzarelli, Analyst, began with The Croner Company in 2012. She has over 15 years of experience as a consultant in marketing and finance capacities. Dalit graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, San Diego with a B.A. in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences and earned an MBA with honors from the University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business.
  Joshua Kipp, Associate Analyst, joined The Croner Company in 2017. As part of the Survey team, Josh’s responsibilities include supporting all aspects of the survey process from questionnaire development to the review of participant submissions, assisting with the extensive data cleaning and testing process and providing analytical support for development of survey reports.  Josh graduated from Skidmore College in 2012 with a B.A. in Philosophy.
  Megan Wintermute, Office Manager, joined The Croner Company in 2017. Megan supports client and administrative needs and manages the production flow for the Survey team.  She has over 25 years of experience in administration, executive assistance and office management in the fields of print and online media, marketing, and government.  Megan earned her B.A. in English Literature, with emphasis in Public Relations and Technical Writing at San Francisco State University.
JaneGannonCrop Jane Gannon is the Executive Assistant to President and Chief Executive Officer Hali Croner. She also provides administrative and project support to The Croner Company consulting team. Jane has over 25 years of administrative experience supporting CEOs in the fields of innovation management consulting, brand strategy and nonprofit organization management.  Jane received her B.A. in Politics & Government from Ohio Wesleyan University, Certificate in Publishing from UC Berkeley, and teaching credential at Sonoma State University.
Eugene Palmer Eugene Palmer, Chief Information Officer, plans and oversees all systems, databases and applications for The Croner Company.  He is a Microsoft Certified Professional, Small Business Specialist having qualified for SBS 2003 and SBS 2008.  He plans, provides and supports all IT for The Croner Company. When he is not assisting at The Croner Company, Eugene is the Theater Supervisor at the University of California, Berkeley department of Theater, Dance and Performance Studies handling lighting, sound, video and rigging.  He holds ETCP certifications as an Entertainment Electrician as well as Theater Rigger and Arena Rigger.
