Principals

Hali Croner, President / Chief Executive Officer, has nearly 20 years of consulting and research experience in the fields of compensation design and implementation.  She joined the company in 1987 and, since 1999 she has been President / CEO and Principal Consultant of The Croner Company.  Hali is the "author" of all of the compensation surveys conducted by The Croner Company and Principal Consultant on most of its consulting projects.  She started her career as a Research Analyst with an international "think tank."  Before joining The Croner Company in 1989, she was, for three years, a Staff Consultant with a large human resources consulting firm.  She earned her A.B. degree from Dartmouth College where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. 
Mel Croner, Chairman, the founder of The Croner Company, is a Certified Management Consultant with over 40 years of consulting experience, including eight years as a partner of the Management Services division of a "Big Eight" (now "Big Five") CPA firm in San Francisco.  He is a graduate of Dartmouth College and earned an MBA at Carnegie-Mellon University.  Mel is a frequent speaker and author on a broad range of planning, organization and compensation issues. He also serves as a director of several public and private companies and educational institutions. 
J. Pierce (Pete) Culver III, Principal Consultant, is a graduate of Duke University.  He earned his MBA at the Harvard Business School.  Pete has over 30 years of consulting experience, with specialization in hospital personnel administration, compensation planning and organization.
   

Staff

   
Ed Sileo, Survey Manager, joined The Croner Company in 2008.   He came to The Croner Company with more than 15 years experience in compensation.  Prior to joining the firm, Ed ran the compensation department for Solaris Health System in Edison, NJ.  Prior to that, he spent 10 years at the headquarters of Catholic Healthcare West, the eighth largest hospital system in the country.  Ed graduated from the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Advertising.  He is a Certified Compensation Professional (CPP), certified by WorldatWork.
Linda Grayson, Administrative Manager, has over 30 years of experience in administration and office management.  At The Croner Company, she oversees the administrative support and production flow of all projects.
Kay Law, Consulting Analyst, joined the Croner Company in 2006 and participates in consulting projects.  She has worked in both the USA and Europe in sales, marketing, administration and as a consultant in international business education and leadership.  Kay earned an MBA from the University of Leiden in the Netherlands.
